Ikebana Flower Arrangement Workshop
Ikebana is ancient Japanese art for arrangement of flowers. The word ikebana means “To give to the flowers new life”. Ikebana is officially art from XV th century. In this period floral arrangements were made by monks trained in art under the patronage of the shogun.
Ikebana reflects the person who arranged it. Flowers, no matter how beautiful come from nature. We are the ones, using these natural materials, to create beauty with our feelings. This is different from natural beauty, this is an art.
Sogetsu ikebana can be created anytime, anywhere, by anyone in any part of the word, with any kind of materials. Sogetsu school was fount 1926th year by Sofu Teshigahara. It is most modern ikebana school in Japan.
