July and August are the time for much needed rest and recuperation after the hustle and bustle of June when it seems there is an endless round of receptions and ‘end of term’ events to attend.
Some of the events that members ran or attended in the past few weeks include the open day at the British Ambassador’s residence with funds being raised for the IWC and the first evening cocktail with the Sofia Business Ladies Forum.
Although this is a quieter time of year for the IWC I hope that you will join us for some of the activities that are being organised this summer. They include picnics, trips to a swimming pool complex and a day visit to a monastery. As well as the usual monthly lunch and our regular groups. Please feel free to bring the whole family and any house guests to these events, including children who I’m sure would love to run around with others at a picnic in the countryside or to have someone to splash about with at the pool. Just let us know numbers in advance by signing up during the coffee morning or by checking the events calendar on the website and contacting Maria Naslednikova to book your place.
In response to the event ideas activity that we ran at the June coffee morning, we are looking for group leaders and co-ordinators to be the contact persons for some new regular events. If you are willing to be the contact person for a group or have a new activity that you would be prepared to co-ordinate then please contact the office or the board and we can publicise the details. The club is only as good as the members make it so let’s get some new events and activities of interest going in the new season.
I hope you are enjoying the change of venue for our summer coffee mornings.
Have a great summer.
